Videos for the opera „The Man who mistook his wife for a hat“, a chamber opera by Michael Nymann, after Oliver Sacks. Performance in January 2018 in Krakow/Poland, developed under the direction of Kristof Spiewok. The opera is based on a medical report from the 1960s, which reports on a patient who completely loses his visual perception and is ultimately only connected to his outside world with the music. The result were videos that abstractly depict what was exchanged in terms of visual tests and associations between doctor and patient. The visual language is based on the first computer animations created at the same time, which – still abstract and awkwardly – tried to map the real world with the help of the computer (see also: „The Incredible Machine“ 1968 Western Electric – AT&T – Bell Labs).
Videos für die Oper „The Man who mistook his wife for a hat“, einer Kammeroper von Michael Nymann, nach Oliver Sacks. Aufführung im Januar 2018 in Krakau, entwickelt unter der Regie von Kristof Spiewok. Die Oper hat einen Arztbericht aus den 1960er Jahren zur Grundlage, die über einen Patienten berichtet, der seine visuelle Wahrnehmung völlig verliert und zuletzt nur noch mit der Musik mit seiner Außenwelt in Verbindung steht. Es entstanden Videos, die abstrakt abbilden, was an visuellen Tests und Assoziationen zwischen Arzt und Patient ausgetauscht wurden.
